Delivering Specialist Services To FPSO's Globally

SMS are best known for the design, delivery and service of Electrical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Control Systems for the Subsea market… but did you know we are also heavily involved in providing Topside and Marine Systems to the FPSO market which is supported by a significant service offering.

Our Business Development Director; Gary Morrow, talks about our involvement in the FPSO market:

“SMS has grown over the years into a major systems manufacturer. We have aimed to always maintain our roots in Service and in these difficult times when our customers are experiencing increased commercial and technical pressures, our capability and flexibility to take on challenges and execute globally has proved invaluable.

SMS is heavily involved in the FPSO market and whilst we of course provide the Hydraulic and Electrical Systems we are best known for, SMS is involved in so much more including significant redeployment scopes that consist of; commissioning, overhaul, maintenance and procurement activities provided using specialist Technicians, Engineers and a flexible supply chain.

SMS has recently been involved in a FPSO redeployment project in South East Asia, working extremely hard across multiple scopes to ensure our customer could meet record breaking turnaround times. Whilst the North Sea continues to be a key market for SMS Services, at this moment in time SMS is executing a major hydraulic commissioning scope offshore India, project managing and executing various scopes in Singapore, and completing major maintenance activities on an FPSO offshore Western Africa.
